Chele is a high-energy creative professional working at the forefront of design to deliver story-driven environments and experiences. These journeys, as she likes to call them, are equally high-impact and highly functional spaces that evoke emotion through surprise, discovery and desire.
Chele’s story begins in the dynamic world of bricks-n-mortar retail where her forward-thinking work in store design and visual merchandising has driven transformation, traffic and revenue for some of the world’s most valued brands and new comers alike.
With a remarkable track record across an array of global industries, Chele has served in various executive creative roles leading multidisciplinary teams from concept through execution. This work includes the first-ever retail extensions for Warner Bros. and a retail reinvention for Disney Store, along with global brand experience evolution through new store design and a fresh take on brand story experience for The North Face, adidas, Gap, babygap and 77 Kids.
One of the secrets to this success is Chele’s collaborative nature and process that ensure consistency across international licensing, merchandising and store design standards to achieve a cohesive result. Especially when building spaces across Europe, Dubai and Asia. A great example is the work she led to define and develop the modern in-store experience for Parx, which included being on-the-ground for store opening at the first mall in India, with locations in Pune and Mumbai.
Chele credits the 10 years she spent in experiential storytelling in the theatrical industry as the source for her imaginative approach and executional excellence. That, combined with her strong business acumen and modern aesthetic has also informed her thoughtful reinvention of some emerging brands. Such as launching the rollout of a luxury, interactive store experience for an e-commerce startup, The Tot that caters to mamas and mamas-to-be.
Today, along with the commercial work and driven by her love of design, Chele has also been diving into reinventing residential spaces. One of which is close to her heart – her own home – a 1970's CAL POLY student-designed beach house on the central coast of California.
Sought after for her ability to craft a strategic and clear vision, and respected for her outstanding leadership and communication skills, Chele is a creative lightning rod with an infectious can-do attitude and spot-on sense of humor.
